~ These are both short poems and related so I thought I might aswell post them here. They aren't really that good but both portray a little bit of the end of my novel I am writing so I figured I would give them a shot. ~

Battle Cries / Last Goodbye's

As I walk through the valley in the shadow of the storm
I fear no cry of battle for I walk here with you, my love.
You who protect me, and keep me sane in the madness.
If shadow casts over my soul, if he wins, I am sorry ...
The shadows turned to darkness and all was lost.

The Watchers

The world breathed a gentle sigh on that cold hopeless morning
Figures lined the valley as raised arms came slicing down
The colours clashed as the water hit the painting, chaos reigned
Stars shone above the field, colliding as the colours bled and struggled
White and Black stood watch; sending the lights across the storm filled valley
The storm broke and thunder ripped through the colours, freezing their steps.
Lightning blinded the watchers... the storm was gone, and so where they...

------
Give me a reason to love life
Prove to me happiness is real
Show me the undying light of hope
And I will cast away the darkness.
