its seem like u have had some troubled relationships. What about couples that have been married for 50 years and are still happy? o well. its a good depressing song...i actually read the whole thing!!!

when IN a relationship I look on my love-hating self as bitter. when just OUT of a relationship I look at my pro-love self as naive.

-- Been there, done that. it doesn't always have to be like that. but all too often it can be.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcomed comments.

forlackofabettername- you were kind as always. i am glad to write another piece that you have enjoyed.

XzX- again, its good to get a comment from you and i am glad to have written something that someone can relate to.

VinceClarke241- you are right, i have had some troubled relationships but that is bound to happen in the search for "the one"...not that i have been looking. anyway, my parents have been married for about 30 happy years so i know that love can be good. i've even written about the positive sides of love in some of my songs. i was just looking at some old scars when i wrote this song...and some not so old scars. i love to love and i know it is a good thing...don't get me wrong. i just write to clear my chest...you know? anyway, i'm glad that you liked it.

JonnyT- its always good to get a compliment from someone that i look up to as much as i do you. i have always enjoyed your writings ever since i read "october lament". i am glad that you enjoy my work and i am glad that you know what i am talking about.

It made me grin. The song was delightfully pessimistic. Something I would listen to on repeat during one of my cynical moods.

the music for this is a slow acoustic picking line until the last 7 lines it picks up for the wonderful climax...only dead people float. i write all my songs on my ibanez acoustic and they all have mostly rock undertones. when i play this one it reminds me most of "butterfly" by weezer. i don't know if you've heard it but you should check it out because it is a great acoustic song. any way i style myself after bands such as brand new, dashboard confessional, and of course, weezer. so, thanks for reading thinspiration. i am honored. i'm glad you liked it.
