So sweet the child who rocks this chair, your daughter, grandchild, neice so fair. A gentle sway, a playful smile, stay with me a little while.

Baby sits in the rocking chair
Sweet and gentle, blessed one
Eyes that dance so merrily
Rythmic sway to a silent beat

Little toes wriggle this way, that
Giggles and chatter, fingers dance
Twirling ringlets of silken hair
Braids and pigtails, fairytales

Gingerbread dreams, a playful song
Hairbrush strokes, a teasing fray
Probing questions, whimsical looks
Endless fussing of rumpled dress

Tiny fingers and polished nails
Mama's necklace proudly worn
So adored this gift from God
Princess glides in her rocking chair

Don MacIver
Come on a journey with me...where eagles soar.
