Note: This particular poem uses simplistic language to imply a much greater message. I am particularly proud of what I had accomplished with this passage, and I hope you comment on what you feel it means to you. Thanks

"Time"

Time is full of pain
they say
not sure which way
only lasts so long
before its gone
can only hope to
enjoy it
while the moment lasts
try to capture it
must act fast
cause time flies by
there's no second try

We live our lives
until we die
try so hard
to understand
what is the great big plan
someday we will comprehend
but sadly that won't be until the end

Hope and happiness
will cary us through
for what else can we do
just be proud
and don't be afraid
to speak aloud

we work so hard
to be free
now we know
it won't come easy
we will ourselves to keep trying
all the way
till we are dying
life is way too short
to be arguing
one day it will be time
it will come
yours and mine
so please I ask you this
can I have one final kiss

Time only lasts so long
before it's gone
I wish that I could stay
but this is my final day
love everybody for eternity
as long as long is to me
I want to say so much more
but I can't ignore
the fact that
time only lasts so long
before it's gone
time only lasts so long
