Out of an universe of souls
Travelling separate paths
Have you felt like you knew someone
In another place - another world
From a time - in the past?

Two people bump into each other
What was it that brought them here-
Could it be fate, circumstance, or coincidence?
As a stranger you felt compelling to say
Hello! "Do I know you from somewhere"?

For reasons unknown to them
Their souls are drawn together
These souls to intertwine, to explore
Hearts to become friends or lovers
A new journey - A new beginning.

As a friend there is nothing nicer
Than to have someone who shares
Your laughter and tears, happiness and fears
A friend to stand by right to the end
Until these two souls meet In a Thousand Years.

Destined to be....
Yes, I believe in the body of this poem. A nice comfortable read, touching familiarities.

I am sorry though I must be tired. I just couldn't understand the last line:
"As a friend there is nothing nicer
Than to have someone who shares
Your laughter and tears, happiness and fears
A friend to stand by right to the end
Until these two souls meet In a Thousand Years."

until?..

Anyway I enjoyed the read. Thanks for sharing it.

This was good, I liked it. The only part that didn't stick with my was the last stanza. It seemed like too abrupt an ending - as if you got tired of the poem and ended it, or didn't know how to end it.
