oh me hate has pierced again
hessian scratches on my skin
a rough mark of haste
smoothness feels perverse
the sky does not fill valleys
if you are high and exposed
you only see rolling lands
as you rip out your heart
realise the spaces exist
when you reach higher plains
but nothing can fill them
but forgetting or living
loving and learning
till you reach back down
to Earth

Ask not what you can do to poetry, but what poetry can do to you.

Brian Blackburn
This is dedicted to him, he passed away, one of the greatest writers and composers who ever lived. He wrote the musical 'Come Spy With Me' the song 'Love is Blue' and 'Welcome Home'. This about sums up how I felt before he passed away a day ago. If any of you know old jazz music and some of the greatest songs ever written remember him. He was a really nice man and I'm proud to have known him.

Thanks for commenting.
