Across the room, I take a glance.
My eyes meet yours; I'm in a trance.
The more we stare, the more enhanced,
Become our feelings of romance.
To be with you, I take a chance,
And come closer, make an advance,
Only to find, to me you've pranced;
You take my hand, and then we dance.

Sweet song
If it's not meant as a song, it should be. Somehow I'm imagining so late tonight warm synth and light beat and the affected male voice of some brittish 80's new wave band. Erasure? OMD?

I like & dislike...
it is a great thing none the less, but i feel as if you forced yourself to rhyme and with that it seems contrived with that, but if you work on the diction (word choice) you will have a much better piece.
