Author's Note:
for Claire

Blushed the white rose before the gardenia,
To October I banished the petals and thorns,
Laughed at the rogue's wan schizophrenia.
Your bed the winner is sent to adorn.

Claire is lucky
Wow, isn't Claire fortunate to have such a devoted fan. THis is just an excellent piece of writing. What great phrasing and subtlety. A delightful little poem. Deserving of a big "10."

DDaly-TheGadfly
Thanks for reading!

DDaly, I am wondering--why do gardenias make me dangerous?

I owe it to Claire to suggest such a fragrant offering.
