It Was All A Dream

You came to me within a dream,
Smiled to me in an angelic gleam.
You took a step, and my heart punded,
How I wanted to just kiss you.
Never have I seen a more tender beauty,
Not an angel, not a flower.
Your skin is of the purest essence,
Clear as the night,
Smooth like an eagles flight.
Your hair is waivy like an ocean tide,
Yet smooth and gentle like a pond.
Your eyes shimmered down the moon's
Bright light, and whispered melodies
Forever, of the nymphs golden harp.
We were about to take one's arms,
But once again the dream has clashed
Like every other.
And once again I'm left with nothing
But the crying, dying heart,
Missing something I have never had.

This is a beautiful poem, marred only by spelling.
