Choose titanium
for durability
and hope your fingers
never swells like my heart
at the sight of her.

Accent it with gold
precious enough to remind you
of your good fortune,
but not gaudy enough to
draw a strangers greedy eye.

Never take it off,
don't leave it hollow
a meaningless thing
keep it on your hand always
as you keep her in your heart.

Smile if you're stupid,
laugh if you understand.

Marry me!?!?!

This is so nice, what a beautiful love poem. To love, for love...nicely done. It is refreshing to read your poems...

Wedding Rings
Beautiful Bart. Completely romantic. Loved it!
(Did Jess ever get that new ring?)

I'm not much of a poetry fan but if more poems were as good as yours...

Show Off!
You know of course you're despised by all the men here for showing them up and adored by all the women (young & old) for being the romantic that you are. It's not enough to love someone...It's the showing it that counts. Since I likely will not be here for the Golden celebration...let me say it now! Congrats you two!

To you and Jess. In these times to see two people so much in love, and so happy. Very nice Bart. I don't "despise" ;), maybe a little jealous though. Better hang on to him Jess (tightly).
