Pain, burning within
ablaze, smoldering.
Angst and anger spews
outward to utterance
at those closest.
Pushing away
sinking within
my shell.
A cocoon of constant torment
saving loved ones from
Jekyll and Hyde that lurks within.
Constant highs and lows,
lows and highs;
cycling back and forth
forth and back.
Crashing down,
rocketing up,
one minute despondent
next minute frenzied.
Praying to heal,
begging to stop,
pleading to get off,
this roller coaster ride.
Desire to be alone as
alone I cannot hurt
alone I will not transfer
alone no anger displaced
at those I care for
and care for me.
Cursed and blessed
despite desire to hide
lover still by my side
loving, patient,
understanding,
devoted
Reaching, pulling me
from my dark abyss.

CJ, You did a wonderful job of describing these feelings. I feel like this too somedays. You are very gifted.

We have different worlds in our mind, and sometimes that makes each one of us view the world differently. I like the way you put me on a rollercoaster ride with this poem of yours. Nice. :D
