for i craved violence as a delicate pleasure
full of precious moments and exacting touch
no gossamer dreams or veiled omens
half-hearted hopes or quixotic love
deep in the secret shadows of the night.

now I am swathed with wool around my eyes
and bandaged many turns for my burns
for i craved violence as a delicate pleasure
clear and rude with unforgiving light
so lived happily, ever after

and that life- fleeting, will be still here at the end
for i craved violence as a delicate pleasure
when the bruised flesh and torn skin lingers
on the salty tang on my lips, and i can nuzzle
all the wounds and lick away the tears.

The conscious shape reality.
