Long forgotten
Sitting atop the hill
Passing time
In the only way it knows how

Not keeping track
Of things gone by
Not taking note
Of anything beyond
Only what went on within
Holds its attention anymore

Reflections of the past
Reinventing misery
Holding on to moments
That are always ripped away
Delighted in its malice
Though longing for a change

Purposely avioded
Unknowingly contained
Stale become the thoughts within
A repetion of indulgence
Point of view obscured
State of mind reversed
Keeping horrors in

Stand out here
And normality is there
Come within
And the screams of madness you will hear

Stay metal!

viewed 16 times and no comments, I wonder why. Perhaps because this tries to be all dark and stuff but just doesn't say anthing. I found this to be just writing in circles and not getting anywhere.

But the time you take to pass value judgment could be spent on something more constructive. If you want to sound scathing, then divulge your identity, say you are an editor for NYTimes, and we will expect a NYTimes critique. But the critique offered instead is that of a university professor who failed to get tenured...

Speaking for myself, I thought it was all right, I just didn't have any comments to make. And this guy doesn't sound like a bitter dead-end professor at all -- just bitter, maybe!
