Teddies
stuffed full and tight
They sit in rows, glassy eyed,
needled rumps, inoculated
against rips

------
Not the poem which we have read, but that to which we return, with the greatest pleasure, possesses the power and claims the name of essential poetry.

I like teddy bears with country outfits! I like them with white fur (would you still call them Teddy if they're white?), red ribbons with dangling bells. I used to have one and this makes me miss him, my Teddy with a mom of his own, the mom's also gone... (sigh)

Beautiful, beautiful cinquain just like all your haiku...!

Teddies Peter
What a gorgeous comment. I never had a bear till I grew up, got a job and bought my own. A big Panda, I still have him after he returned from an extended holiday with a little boy of my friend. 15 yrs. I think it was. I had a stint of designing and making bears but am too busy now with work. I still love them. Can't send you a bear so I'll send a bear *hug* . huni.
