The hallways tremble with pictures of laughter
Spinning out visions of sloppy ever after
I needed rockets, you needed space
You see the world where I see your face
Fade away
Fade away
An oxygen, vapor, and nothing bouquet
You fade away

I hear forever is just superstition
Only lasting so long as neverís in remission
And I have to say that I knew all along
If ever Iíve wanted to be proven wrong
Itís a dream
Itís a dream
Twisted in chains of masked prophecy
Ever sustaining our propriety
Itís a dream

Like a wind only whispers when itís tired of shouting
Iíll trade you a kiss for this life that youíre touting
Call it anti-pragmatic or melodramatic
I send out the signals, but only get static
Here I am
Here I am
Iíll be waiting right here
Here I am
Here I am
Where are you?

You fade away.'

This is the second love
poem I've read today and they are miles apart in style. This was magnificent. Fully formed thoughts with an elegant walk; intriguing phrases, lending new perspectives to oft-viewed scenes. Congratulations on a fantastic piece.
