Lie still and feel another song
Coursing through your veins
Listen to the chuckle of surrender

Drift as flame against the tame,
Mastering the night
Breathe the dark of scholarship divine

Hear the whistle of the flute
In some badiniere
Flicking dusted eyelashes, to secret share

Sway inside this other song
Let its breeze move slow,
Just so, as you begin the glide

And then, as eyelids soft applaud,
Fall, as if the curtain
Slip from meditation
Into mirrored sleep

The eyes rule all.

How beautiful - and not just because I adore hammocks and collect them. (Not anymore, see my poem 'Collecting'.) huni.
