Samuel Rose is a quiet man
Who knows
He watches and wonders
Where this voyage will go
Quiet times for Samuel Rose

In time he begins to grow
Like his namesake
Samuel Rose
In understanding and it shows

Silence becomes too demanding
With his increase of understanding
He becomes louder
As he starts to flower
Samuel Rose grows

Sprouting thorns with thickening stems
He knows that he comprehends
Now the growth slows
And it shows
For Samuel Rose

Samuel Rose was a quiet man
Now he just demands
Answers to questions without directions
He feels his rejection
Samuel Rose with no where
To go.
