How easily the word Love
Drips nonchalantly from our tongue
I "LOVE" this movie
Is so carelessly flung
Or "I LOVE" this song
When "our" song is sung
Love is a word
To be spoken with care
To be kept in your heart
And hidden there
Hoarded...protected
Saved for the day
When you meet that "someone"
Who at last comes your way
Then "Love" once declared
Will have a special meaning for you
When the love of your life
Responds, "I Love you too"

Bea, Love
Bea,

Another good deep write. I 'love' the way we use the word love, even though it could devalue the deeper meaning. To atribute love to our better forms of 'like' keeps the word alive.

I know a lot of people who have difficulty in simply telling people they love them, simply because the word is so powerful. I do not know of any other word that could be devided into so many levels of meaning and it is good to see a powm written about it....thank you,

Ivor

So True,
I almost want to say I "loved" reading this, when I mean I "enjoyed" reading this Bea.
The word "love" has such a vastness. It is also the words surrounding it, sharing it's home in a sentence that give it the great meaning as well.
This is well written Bea, so glad I read your sharing........Darlene

Love me tender...
You know Ivor...you may have something there...maybe the reason people do use it so often out of context is simply because it IS so powerful to say in its deeper meaning!

Thanks Darlene...glad you "enjoyed" it. Hope I don't make you self-concious the next time you use the word...did make you all think though...didnt it!

Love
I liked this very much, simple, direct and to the point. Good observations communicated with a sweet rhyme. Well done Grandma Bea.

Words of Love
Truly a beautiful and thoughtful piece of work. Often we forget how important the word "Love" is. You have related this perfectly through your fine verse. A pleasure to read. ~Pam

Bea, you MADE me think...
Not self-conscious, I LOVE the word love, to be in it, share it, use it, pray it, the best 4 letter word to me and honey, yes you made me think and rethink as I wrote things today. Thank you for the wonderful reminder!!!

Love is in the air!
Thank you Pam for taking the time to comment.
To me...the word love is the most powerful word in the dictionary...because of it...wars can be either started or ended because of it!
