Bliss

The light that shines in your eyes
Is the only light I need
To see the love shining from
The soul within your heart.

Far away from my dreams
In the land of kingdom come
The angels sing so softly
Of the love that makes us one.

Deep inside my soul tonight
I feel the pounding of a drum
The call of nature wild within
Beats the rhythm of our love.

Oh no donít stop this passion ride
Letís go until the dawn.
Lovers lost without a care
In the bliss of each otherís arms.

------
"See the man with the lonely eyes, oh, take his hand, you'll be surprised." Supertramp.

Chris - Bliss
Very passionate, Chris, and I kept on rereading since last night. I love the first stanza, because you gave so much thought on how the eyes could be seeing what's essential. I think of Antoine de Saint-Exupery whenever I read you, because you have his ethereal and spatial quality in poetry.
