In a soft breeze
pecking at the old carpet
a small grey feather

------
Not the poem which we have read, but that to which we return, with the greatest pleasure, possesses the power and claims the name of essential poetry.

Huni-Pecking
I could see the little movement of your little feather pecking at the old carpet.

Feather pecking!

This is wonderful, huni! You just keep getting better and better at this, don't you? It is a brilliant image-- a very unique way of looking at the image.

I love it!

Pecking
An interesting choice of word-- pecking, I agree with the rest. I could see the feather 'pecking' at the carpet. 1st-class imagery.

Feather people all,
You have undone me with your comments. Back home from my trip with bronchitis and feeling miserable and then I read these, from my heart thank you to all. I would love to mention you all personally, but it is a struggle right now, but know it mattered to find you all here. huni.
