Somewhere in the dark
I hear you call my name
The sound so sweet to me
Like silver bells resonating
Clear and true to lead me home.

But I am lost deep and dark
And can not find my path
My sins weigh me down
The heavy chains of consequence
Sharp and full of debt I owe.

My love for you knows no bounds
But I am loath to let you see
To hear you cry in despair
At the sight of the true self
For deep within I am dead.

"See the man with the lonely eyes, oh, take his hand, you'll be surprised." Supertramp.
