I wander underneath a midnight winter quilt
A blanket of protective nurtured warmth
The loving caress of freedomís breeze
As I walk naked through the night.

Silver moonlight streams from heaven down to bless me
An eerie halo like a supernatural crown
Stars glimmer in an ancient rhythm
And my green eyes open wide to join them in their dance.

Shadows fold me into a world made of illusion
Ghostís flicker in silent greeting
Every sound an individual voice
And I lift my own in song to lead them in the chorus.

Nocturnal beasts arrive to pray for the dayís demise
Heads bowed in deep communion
Ominous clouds hang heavy
My fingers encourage the beginnings of an eternal storm.

Laughter bright and cheerful peals throughout my glade
Fear scatters my black hearted servants
Dawn breaks foretelling my death
And sun is born again while the living darkness embraces me.

In secret contemplation patiently I wait
For night time will return and with her armies bring
I will regain my power
For darkness and her Goddess wonít be thwarted by the light.

Darkness embraces me
I just swung by here. I thought I'd leave my comment. I think the poem is well written. I find it aesthetically pleasing. I like the poem. I'm a huge Marilyn Manson fan but that's not very relevant. Anyway, thanks for a fascinating read.
