Stay awhile and watch, my friend
Watch these six glass figures on the wall
They do not seem to move or bend
Sitting there they pass the time

Suspended there, the six are
Patience you must have to recognize
Their eyes, into time, see far
Moving as the mortals die

Forget everything about this place
Forget the time, forget the wars
Forget the world's harsh embrace
Just watch them, all six

The years spin by and the decades race
Eras passing while centuries waltz past
Every step of time rushing in their frantic pace
But this means nothing to the dancing six

A blur of movement as time unwinds
What seemed still now looks alive
Each figure dancing dances of different kinds
Paying no heed to the mortals' world

Spinning and dancing existence away
Kings of men fall while empires crumble
Technology kills while lighting the way
All doing nothing to the glass on the wall.

Stay metal!
