Standing in the sands
That leads to tomorrow
Clouds are passing by
My shadow is alone

Murals in the sky
Promising a future
Winds are softly blowing
Whispering a song

Darkness is afar
Creeping in to discourage
The wind howling out
My heads now hanging low

The sky opens up
Drowning out my hopes
My face lifts to the sky
Rain camouflage as I cry

Standing in the sands
Words pour out in desperation
My life will expire
Yet, my poetry will live on

In our mind
we danced and laughed until the end of time
yet of our body we are bound
it is all too sublime to put in rhyme
so let the cherubs of the "end is nigh" beware-
"I wrote a poem once. You'll find me there."
