I walked up to the askew wood in the fence
I said to myself" just a peek"
Suddenly fear griped me
It's sordid taste went through my bidy like blood through vein
Body catatonic as my eyes transfixed at what I had just beheld

The site was appalling
The wood had not seen paint for years and was mud brown
The door swang peracriously from side to side
Giving out hostile "creeks"

The benign wind blew the windows from side to side with a flourish
Air rushed out of the house giving an uninviting eerie sound.
The roof burdened with rot didi not do much to ameliorate the scene

Dark, heavy clouds pregnant with rain above it stood ominously
They laughed oout thunder and lightening as they started to move along

I closed my eyes, took a step back and weent my ways.
