Pasta La Vista

There are many ways to eat Pasta La Vista. The chef puts pasta on your plate and you add whatever you want. I like mine with mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes. Jane likes hers with a variety; since she usually can’t decide, she often gets “the works.” Jim gets chicken, beans, zucchini, and peppers. Laura just likes chicken and pasta, but Dan doesn’t even get the chicken. Just pasta.
One night we were sitting around the cafeteria, eating Pasta La Vista. Jane was telling us that the Earth is hollow and little men live inside.
“They must be there,” she insisted, “I calculated the volume of the Earth and it would be a shame to waste all of that space on molten lava.”
Dan was irritated. “Stop it with all those crazy ideas,” he said, as he picked his teeth with a toothpick, “Things are simple. If people would just accept what is in front of them, there’d be a lot less wrong with society.” Dan has never left the state or believed in the Easter bunny.
The Big Chef in the sky puts reality on your plate and you add whatever you want. I don’t think that Earth is hollow or anything, but I do add what I think are the right ingredients to improve what I have. Nobody is 100% certain of what to believe or what risks to take, but at least people garnish their pasta and keep their dishes open. Possibilities, possibilities, possibilities. Life is more than the pasta on Dan’s plate

This Dan...
Does not agree with the other Dan...

Why are there so many different things to add to the pasta ?

Because they are there for you to decide what you will take, and what you will leave...

Exactly like in life...

Thankfully, everyone gets to take what they like, and so it is in life...

If you take something and realize you no longer want or like it... separate it from your pasta and continue the meal, leaving the other to be discarded...

You have written another wonderful piece and helped others to realize, it IS their choice, and even after the choice has been made, one can still choose to discard that choice...

Another very thought provoking work...

Don't stop writing... You still have so much to share...
