Permit me to tell you about life

How it can treat you so well at once

But stab you in the back at another time when you least expect it

You want laughs, good memories, and happiness

But it is defeated by malevolent people who want to make you miserable

And you just want to end it all
Yet the life that I remember most

Is all of the good times that made me remember

The friends that have been by my side andů

And the love that has been with me forever

what life means
ok, i was going to write a pretty mean comment about this considering you were much older than i was, but luckily i went back and read your bio first. so considering you wrote this at the age of 14 is really good, the stuff i wrote at that time (which was not so long ago by the way), was quite similar. but what i think would make the poem more impressive is that you would use rhyming words, because you have to have either really good vocabulary in which you can deeply express yourself, or a poetic sense to amuse the reader. all will improve by time. but good job
