Words fall
onto crisp
paper written
there to please,
to savor.
Carrying hopes
far and near
warming hearts,
easing fears.
Words in all
their worldly
grace wipe
teardrops from
a sad face.
They prance,
ryhme, and drift
with consonants
and vowels
they lift us up
and bring us down,
bring a laugh
or a frown...words.

I read your poems
rich and sweet
then lay roses at
your feet.

Very sweet- if we didn't have an appreciation for words, we'd all be on ebay. Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed it! -emaks

Some say words are sharper than swords, but ney-
they are the the very soil in which we plant our soul.

Words fall onto... is a crisp line. You definitely can write a short and yet very beautiful poem, Char. I also like this one very much.

Like a great painter, you use broad strokes across the canvas with you poem titled "Words"

"Only a Word can Say" is a title of one my poems.

Words are powerful...just like an afrodesiac.

In this particular poem, your words resonate with a frequency range extending beyond the moon and the star.

This poem sings like a choir in church

This poem shines like a superstar!

It only takes one word to say hello
