no angel-
im a fallen star.
neptune dons a crown of thorns
a parasite, an atrophyte
a wrath across the forest floor.

from a sapling sewed
and grow'd with love? perhaps sincerity?
born of convenience-and destruction too,
glints this fathers eye.

but neglect has seen seasons pass
and buttress grown where once fertilizer id sewn.
rains cease on the canopy
to clear understory from mist to clarity
that us does not belong to me.

glint wanes across a weary eye-
a sea-bound star into the tide.
sinking with nostalgias weight
of the will to denigrate
your soul-the prize of a path destructive
of what we shared, despite all my lies.
gladly here ill sink and leave you fade
strong and unhurt this time.

I'm not even sure why, I just loved the feel of this poem. The first stanza is a gem and I loved the sense of getting a clearer picture of the 'us that does not belong to me'. regards huni.
