[This submission was inspired by an article I wrote and posted online, titled: "Where Does Man (without Jesus) Go After Death?". I vivited there once, when I almost died as a child, and it turned my life around! I hope you will read it and e-mail me your comments. It can be read at -].

Hotter by far
Than nature's fires:
The flames that lick mens' souls...

That blacker than tar
Underworld pyre:
Where eyes shine red as coals...

No one averts
Those infernal flames, but
Those who bear The Shield...

Who heard the alerts
And rejoiced in the claims:
Who to God's Christ...did yield.

So beware earths lies
That blind Mans Mind:
Intent that we not see...

The Provider cries
For us to find:
His One Way to be Free...

He alone declares
How mortals pass
Through His final test...

His immortal heirs
Here, learned, as in class:
His Way is always best.

Very Much
I very much liked the rythm and rhyme...

It porvides a warning to all, and is earnest in your intent...

But, what of those who believe in God, but not neccesarily Jesus? Can you be so sure that God would turn them away for that?

In my search for truth, I find that God will not judge us... Some one far more knowledgeable and critical of our lives here will do the judging...

And it will be based on the knowledge we obtain, and our use of that knowledge while here...

There is only one person/being that could possibly be more critical of your life than God...

Your work in this poem is evidence that you are on the right track and if you continue, you will surely succeed...

Very Fine Write indeed...

Dear Dapr
Thank you for your comment. I took it to heart.

I find there is truth, and there is TRUTH, and they are different, entirely.

I investigated many avenues to find TRUTH: that absolute that so eludes us here on earth. It was not until I was dying in a hospital of voracious cancer (1978) that I called upon the name of Jesus, as I'd heard millions of times in church but never understood. None of the other ways worked to give me LIFE or TRUTH. However, when I met the man, Jesus, He gave me both, and has since taken me on a journey where I KNOW such TRUTH abides. I know it because I daily reach into His knowledge and wisdom, far above that which is possible in the natural man.

I am not the One Who first declared that SALVATION comes only through the man, Jesus. God's word did that...(Mt. 12:21, Jn. 3:16, 43; Acts 3:16, Ephesians 1:21, Ph. 2:9,10, Rev. 2:13, 2 Ti 2:19, He 1:4, James 2:7. 1 Co 15:45, Rev 1:8, He 12:2, 5:9*, Jn 6:32, Jn 1:3, Acts 3:4. Jn 1:14.) I simply came to understand that He is TRUTH, personified. He becomes, for us who are saved, the FIREWALL (Shield) against the flames of Hell that consume mortal mens souls upon their death... that Hell being "the second death, which is eternal fire that forever burns that part of us which never dies." Isaiah 66:24*.

This is why I am emphatic in my stand for Jesus as the ONLY way through the final test.

May my testimony and life witness to you of His truth, for I lived when Man said I would not, and that life was by the man, Jesus, the Christ.

With all sincerity,

If one is looking for a good study bible that is non-denominal in nature, I suggest the THOMPSON'S CHAIN REFERENCE BIBLE, KJV. It puts the word of God in order in such a variety of ways one can not mistake God's intent on any subject it covers.
