Silence takes its toll
as the clock fails to tick
darkness consumes
but electric light declares its victory

thoughts fly numb
crumble before consciousness
mind puts all senses at rest
but body fails to hear

chorus
don't want to go sleeping tonight
could lose the flow of time
don't want to close my eyes
there's still so much to see
last day, presence's running
running out of reality

memories of yesterdays
fade and blur
history repeats itself
future's on mute and lost remote control

chorus (2x)

don't want to go sleeping...
don't want to go sleeping...
