Some call me Suga
Though I admit Iím not too sweet
My life engulfed in fairy tales
Bound to sweep you off your feet
As I prance around this perfect place
Without so much as a smile upon my face
Something is wrong, so terribly wrong
This isnít my home, I donít belong
In this too perfect world that was too good to be true
I had to return to a reality I knew
A world where every breath is filled with drama and pain
You never wake up to a day thatís the same
Where innocent people are hurt everyday
We are shunned if we decide to see things a different way
Where peace brings war and love brings pain
Itís enough to drive a person insane
This is my home, this is where I belong
Holding my breath and trying to stay strong
Waiting for the days to come
When I might escape back to my fantasy world

Thanks for taking the time to read my poems. Much love kiddos and I hope my poems meant something to you! Never give up on your dreams :)

Reminds me
'where peace brings war and love brings pain' reminded me of lyrics by John Lennon, 'Working Class Hero' 'They hate you if you're clever and despise a fool / until you're so f____ing crazy, you can't follow their rules'. I liked the sentiment being expressed here, Suga, but I agree with Pen & Will, you need to sort out your rhythm.
Take care
