The tensions rising,
The missiles lining,
I shall not see,
This horrifying.
Our completion is growing,
But our safety is dying,
I cannot stand,
This horrifying.
The Invasion of Grenada,
The Troops to Lebanon,
I shall not bare,
This horrifying.
Who will strike first,
Who will die first,
These thought I have,
This horrifying.
The Marshall Plan,
The Truman Doctrine,
It seems that nothing can stop,
This horrifying.
I hope no war,
And I hope some peace,
But I must comprehend,
This horrifying.
What can stop it,
What will block,
I fear nothing can stop,
This horrifying.
The war has begun,
From the tensions,
I hope we won't die from,
This horrifying.
And now the war ends,
The tensions are realeased,
I now do know that we have ended,
This horrifying.

Thankyou
Thank you for your constructive critisism and complements. I'm not professional or anything. I actually just a 12 year old and I just wrote the poem for a school project. So anyway, thankyou.

Thankyou very much Claire. Your complements are very appreciated. You actually posted your message on my birthday(June 10th), so thankyou. I also wrote a poem when I was in 5th grade called "Who Am I". Today I am sending it to this site. So check it out.
