It is said that when God first made people,
He created two souls at the same time.
Charting both lives together,
Plotting their course of destiny as one.
Soul mates, these people are called.

When I first saw you on that fateful day,
My heart had just healed from a painful wound.
When our eyes met and your voice filled my ears,
I felt a sensation so familiar I thought it came from within.
I did not know what to make of it back then.
But I felt stirrings inside of me that I've never felt before.

Yet time, as we know, progresses.
And in time, I had the chance to see more of yourself.
We opened our hearts and bared our souls to one another,
Enjoyed every single moment we spent together.
And in time my heart broke through my self-imposed abstinence,
And I learned to set my soul free and flying once again.
I was, once more, in love.

Soul mates, that's what we are to me.
When we talk, it's as if I could hear angels sing.
When we're together, we could simply be what we want to be.
It doesn't matter, really, when our souls are so in sync with one another.
When we find company and solace in just being together.
Without words, your silence soothes my bruised heart.
Without action, my mere presence is able to relax your clouded mind,
My soul mate, you truly are, I am glad to have found.

Soul Mates
I love the idea of this. I hope it is true. I hope you did find your soul mate. Your words are precious.

No Such Thing...
The heart has reasons that reasoning doesn't even understand. Mankind makes love an ideal, picturesque image we all want to drown intoxicatingly in. Well, the intoxicated part is the only truth in that we make ourselves drunk on a feeling and then pretend we're seeing just fine. Don't worry your head, you heart will break yet again...and again...and again...
