I am not dead. I still live here.
Hanging on between the spaces of the seconds of my days
Here my plans get laid, my list grows
Of the tools I need and the machines that will bring me back

In conversation what is dead about me
is so ordinary it reassures you too
it draws no attention to itself. What is alive about me
comes out at odd moments and disperses
as you graciously ignore it

------
I'd rather have permanent employment than be called fascinating

no you're not...
You're definately not dead, find it hard to believe you can be graciously ignored when you write so beautifully.

suggestion
I know the old "show don't tell" lecture has probably been overdone, but I wanted to see these ideas dramatized. You tell me what is alive about you, but I want a solid image so I can't "graciously ignore" it. I think this would make the already strong emotion even stronger!

really like
I do like your work wrdekl. I hope you keep putting more on here. This poem especially felt wonderful to me. What others call 'vagueness' in your poems, I enjoy. It's that place between metaphor and one's own private imagination that I really fall into in some ones work that I feel from yours. (if that makes sense!) regards, huni.
