I love how ya clean them dishes
or burn the trash way out back.

When you put the blue stuff in the toilet
or them magazines in a stack.

You tie up all of the newspapers
that was lyin' on the floor.

Then ya look at me kinda sexy
when ya finish all yer chores.

I was fixin' to tell you I loved you
When you belched the words "Bull Crap!"

I meant to show some eeefection
but it...came out like a nap.

I seen you in the doorway
fetchin a booger the way you do.

I think you caught my fancy
when you rubbed it on your shoe.

As my Daddy said, you love a woman...
by the deeds she does.

I imagine that makes you a fine a woman
as their ever was.

An' I knew you had stolen my heart
and I'd never let you go

When I saw you in the garden
just a workin that ole' hoe.

But I never knew you loved me back
til I found you with wet hair.

Just a scrubbin' and a scrubbin'
the stains outa my dirty underwear.

It wasn't my fault...I fell asleep and missed my stop.

Blatent and blunt!
I love it!!!

Such a simple truth - ie who the hell else would do that, if not for love....

Such an apt way to put it too - you can't fail but see the moral, and enjoy the ride along the way!

very effective
This is a great poem. It's so simple, but it's absolutely on the mark. Great stuff.
