In the steam day and the silence of night,
I think of the past and the now.
How can I love deeply and refine
the very essence of my heart.
I start with the dark and run to the light.
In it illumines peace.
Sweet healing and mending.
Thoughts gust in and work the mind.
No fickle wind can make me whole.
I can't give in and I can't fight.
I only live or parish.
The balance in the steam of day,
and the silence of night gives life.
I give thanks.

Lovely poem of self-acceptance in this crazy world.

I think you meant to say "perish" instead of "parish" in line #11.

Keep recognizing your heart.
