A Gift for My Wife

I would give you soft words, love,
Written in some bright corner of our home
Where the sunlight charms the floating dust to stillness
As rich and silent as the light in my mind
Filtering through a tall memory of amber glass.
I would give you words as palpable as your skin,
As one autumn night your body's first touch
Made a lie of all the world, and all of me,
Unless it first be proved by what we are.
I would give you the best words in my heart,
A gift given back again of the beauty you bring to me,
Of the peace you share with me,
Of the love you are to me,
Of the power you hold to charm me to stillness,
Motionless in a flood of amber light.

Lovely and enjoyable. I admire the flow and pace of your writing. You could float away on your words. :)

Beautiful
Absolutely best way of letting your wife know of love. Worded and structured nicely.
