On the Need for Vision

The fog is thick around me.
It covers like a tomb,
A closely cloistered feeling,
A hovering, oval room.

But the walls are made of nothing
Except the mist and air,
Holding out the moonlight,
While still admitting fear.

And like a lonely sailor
Enshrouded on the sea,
I fear what hidden iceburg
Might do to ship and me.

I'd really rather see what is
Than fear the what-might-be.

A really powerful thought provoking poem. I love the way you use words and rhyme to get the meaning over,

A closely cloistered feeling,
But the walls are made of nothing
Enshrouded on the sea,

and your final two lines......

Thank you
