Only the people who
notice that you got
your hair cut yesterday
should be the ones
whom you notice,
whom you get,
whom you don't cut out,
and whom you don't
leave on the ground,
discarded like the hair
that used to hang over
your ears and over your eyes--
now being swept up
by the Barber--because
that hair's gone, and
now you've got to scratch
the fuzz on your head.
