Play God

Life is a precious thing, one we often take for granted
You seem to feel youíve always been sent away empty handed
That life has given you the bad end and used the good to beat you down
And you deal with this endless stream of misery by putting yourself with the ground

But now youíre gonna play God
Making decisions that werenít meant for you
I canít even pretend to imagine
What you must have been through

You say that youíre doing what is best for you

Is that the best you can do?
To justify this horrid course of action

So many have been through
But does its frequency of occurrence

Necessarily make it right
How can I make you people see

You shouldnít fuck with life

But now youíre gonna play God
Making decisions that werenít meant for you
I canít even pretend to imagine
What you must have been through
But that does that make it right?
What youíre about to go through
To give up without a fight
Canít you see this choice is not for you?

How can you let yourself believe

This is the only choice remaining
That this life will be so bad

It wonít be worth detaining
You say that this is all thatís left

Your other options have run out
This is all thatís left for you

Your only choice is to just bail out

You say youíre saving your life

What about the one you waste?
And those lips once so sweet

Now just leave a bitter taste
Who gave you the right
To go and play God?
It wasnít God

It wasnít God!

And now youíre gonna play God
Making decisions that werenít meant for you
I canít even pretend to imagine
What you must have been through
But that does that make it right?
What youíre about to go through
To give up without a fight
Canít you see this choice is not for you

I like the song and I get the message. I know how much this subject bothers you.

Hedwig
A thousand pardons to Mr. Evans for this off-topic post, but...Hedwig. Does that name spawn at all from the musical called Hedwig and the Angry Inch? I must know, or else I shall explode and stain my Ghost in the Shell Poster.

Beckett
I of course apologize to Mr. Evans, but in response to Mr. Grey. I happened upon this name because of the need to disclose my identity and to tell you what it means might give away this identity. So i am sorry to say i cannot answer your question.

eh...?
Firstly, if you wanted to disclose your identity, you would be doing the opposite of what you are currently doing.

Secondly, this need for secrecy extends so far as to prevent you from even telling me if you took the name from a play which cannot possibly be close enough to you to disclose your name? It boggles the mind. Nevertheless...oh, who cares?
