Hate is hate no matter who it's targeting. I just read Jhonb's "Gay Pop" and i was looking at gays in a all differnt matter when i was through. I realized that with the moving themes of soceity comes new genertaed hate. Look at the late 1800's there was still slavery. If you think about it that wasn't to long ago. That pasted, but now there is discrimination against gays. Why? Is it because it is sac religious, or is it moraly wrong? Think about it, in 50 to 100 years from now being gay will be as normal as being white or black, no one will think twice about it. Am I gay, no. Do i want men hitting on me? No. However i dont think people should hate someone because of thier sexual preference. I have also noticed that it seems the hate is directed toward gay men then gay women, why is this? Soceity has formed a new type of hate for many a reason. I just want people to realize that gay people arnt going anywhere. People need to realize that some of the worlds greatest poetry and philoshpy have come from gay people i.e Walt whitman. If anyone knows poetry they should know Walt Whitman. He came up with a poem that takes a whole year to read. He was thought to be gay, but he had a major inpact on the world by promoting equal rights through his poetry.

I have made this statment to get people who hate to think of why they are hating even what they are hating. Many of gay people have changed the world for a better place.

Just a thought, Thank you for reading

Badly, badly written. Simplistic idea, no important message, and tons of typos. I know you're capable of better.

Hate is Hate
You are right in your statement that "Hate is Hate" wheter it be directed at a group of people because of their skin, color, language, beliefs, and yes, even sexual orientation. But I must tell you that my beliefs stem from, and will always refer to my strong biblical background. I know that we are in a "new era" things change. You are right in your statement regarding how slavery was abolished, and civil rights has come a long way. And yes, all men are created equal. But one thing as remained since the beginning of time - and that is the Word of God, and his commandments. No president, no constitutional ammendment, no civil demonstration and no matter how hard we argue the facts - God's Word remains the same. Long after you and I are gone - God's Word will remain the same.

I have a scripture for you:
Romans 12:26-27

Speaks of how people did not want to listen to God, or his ways and became overwhelmed with shameful lust.. the women exhanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themeselves the due penalty for their perversions....

Even though your article deals with hate, you must realize that being gay is NOT to be compared with being black, or hispanic - they are totally different situations.

We love the person, and hate the sin.

"Love the person, hate the sin." I'm sure this is great consolation for the homosexuals never allowed to make their love for one another known publicly, those who are fired for their preferences, those who are mocked and reviled, and those who are brutally murdered by people inflamed by these "unnatural relations."

The Constitution is constantly being rewritten: we call these "Amendments." The Bible is thousands of years old, but if someone tries to change it, people get their panties in a bunch. It is NOT okay to force your beliefs in a magical superman on others. It is NOT okay to say "We love the sinners, hate the sin," any more than it's okay to say "Separate but equal," because it's not true. It is NOT okay to try and run a heterogenous country according to one group's ancient traditions.

"God's Word will remain the same." You're right, it does, because you people fear change.

First of all, I would like to apologize for how my piece was written. I was tired and wanted to make a statement based on that of what is happening today not thousands of years ago. I think God's decree will remain. Plus from a religious point of view, who is to say what is right. I mean I’m not that knowledgeable in the department of religion but isn’t it a sin to worship other Gods? So if that is true, what religion is right? Who is to say that what you believe will deter whether or not you are a good person or bad person. Are we to blame a chemical imbalance as apposed to self choice, to be gay or not? Does this determine a good person or bad one?

EB thanks for the criticism I greatly appreciate it, and I will work more and better on further writings.

Happy writing
