(To my best friend, Caryn)

Who knows how we met or who spoke first.
Our minds connected and our friendship burst.
Two tiny children with so much love,
Both wanting to fly on the wings of a dove.
Their spirits free, their love everlasting.
Their futures unknown as the days are surly passing.
They play with each other, their only thought is on fun.
They play until dark when the day is long done.
With hugs and sloppy kisses they climb into bed.
They giggle and talk as they lay down their heads.
Mom yells up the stairs for them to go to sleep,
And for a couple minutes they make not a peep.
But soon they begin to talk once again.
They are so close, they call each other kin.
When sleep comes, they meet in their dreams.
They are always together, never apart it seems.

But as they grow older, things begin to change.
They move apart and must talk from long range.
Each still a part of the others life.
Friendship so strong, you couldnít cut it with a knife.
Through thick and thin, the two remain friends.
Giving advice and their love do they send.
No distance can keep them apart.
They were best friends from the start.
No matter the distance, the day, or the time,
They keep in touch and are doing just fine.
They will always be friends, until the bitter end.
No problem too big that the two of them canít mend.
No matter where they go or what their endeavor,
They will always be best friends forever.

Friendship is strong
I understand where your coming from here..although Corey and I may not have ever had sloppy kisses and only hugged when we are drunk...either or 8 years and running and nothign has seperated us. This poem is too true when it speaks of the strengths of friendship.
