There are several Virus and SPAM emails going on right now that pretend they come from sites you may frequent. I got one today that was from and I now for sure we didn't send it, that's not a real email address, it's an alias! I work for an ISP and we've recieved quite a few people calling saying that we sent them an encyrpted email with a password to open the attachment. The attachment is a virus, so don't open it. These emails often come from your isp, or may even look like they come from places like or They are fake - We will never email you from unless we are replying to your email. Beware! If you are in doubt, email and I'll confirm if we sent it or not.

in the news.
These viruses are becoming rampant. A story in the news today says that the virus writers are getting into a turf war, each trying to out-do each other, so there are dozens of variations appearing every day now. It really is starting to get out of hand. :(

Just look at the names of viruses. For every "MyDoom" or "Love" or whatever, there are dozens of viruses with names like "Mordor" and "Sauron" and other Tolkien references. Freakin' nerds.
