(Note: this is a suggestion. I wasn't sure where to put this, so please forgive me if it's classified wrong)

I'll make this simple: why not take all the submissions from one day and then at the end of the day choose one as the best? For example, today's the 29th, so on March 1st you could have a showing on the front page of yesterday's "Poem of the day" or "Story of the day".

I think it would be an excellent incentive for contributors to strive to improve the quality of their writing and would greatly reduce the amount of half-assed crap that gets on here (mainly due to a lack of revision or detail, both of which are faults attributed to laziness).

Let me know what you think of this idea.

Someday, I'll write a story about dodgeball and they'll make it into a movie.
