an infectious day that seeps in to infest,
every inch of my body, to my heart inside my chest.
today, a day to remember my failures and downfalls,
another biirthday that passes and THE ONE never calls.
I'm never happy, or ever even glad,
that it's another birthday, the one gift from Dad.
not even worthy enough to celebrate my own spirit,
cause each year that passes I grow to fear it.
it's coming to claim me and slay me on the eve of the night,
that I turn twenty-five and fade out of sight.

just think of it this way, GOD let you live another year. Celebrate that if nothing else. Besides, I enjoyed the read though. The poem itself were sort of, how shall I say, Hmm! depressing for me, cause U R complaining. Enjoy life while U are here, and Give GOD the glory for keeping U another year.

Keep ya head up
I did enjoy the poem and it showed your true feelings about your birthday. Try to look at the bright side of everything if you can because there always is.

i understand your sentiment completely. my birthday is about a week, and i'm already loathing it. i try not to tell others my birthday, as i do not enjoy celebrating it.

but yea, good piece. it was well enjoyed.
