Author's Note:
Sorry, I couldn't resist posting this for everyone. It's dedicated to...ah, nevermind. =D

If the sun is the center of all creation,
gaining attention in it's glory,
hounding the earth dwellers with it's beauty.

Wouldn't it be right
for me to step aside
while all the others
at it's glorious light?

You see, I've always seen the sun
as just another part of life.
The sun is no more relevant
than the trees and stars and moon.
Another element in it's place.

So if all my friends flock from the room
to look out at the shining sun.
I'll laugh at it's pomposity

Mr. S is not as important as he thinks.

I prefer to stay inside...
yawning at the sun.

"God grant me distraction."

Pen? DS? Anyone?
At first I thought this poem was a reaction to Evil's "The Sun Always Dies Alone"

But then Mr. S?

And what sun poem were you referring to Pen?

No, no, Pen, I may be feeling dull as a butter knife tonight but I got that the reference to Mr. S was part of the poem, above.

Actually, now that you mention it, Mr. S standing for sun would make a great deal of sense. I got confused because I hadn't seen the later comments on Evil's poem, and then I thought for some reason the reference was to Sneak, and I thought "Have I missed that many days of" Thanks for the clarity.

pen, hazel

Pen- You are so funny! As I'm sure you know, this wasn't written in response to Bactine's poem, but it sure does sound like it, doesn't it? ;D Glad you liked it. And let me tell you...if you, John, and ark are dweebs I certainly am!

Hazel- Actually Hazel, this poem was about our like rebel that was causing drama last week. He comented on a blog of mine with a comment comparing my references to him as "Spitting at the Sun", implying of course, that he is the sun. This was my response to him. I just posted it so Pen could give me a 10. ;) Oh and cause I felt clever for the line "Yawning at the Sun". Heh.
