To you: untitled,
This is what I wrote for you.
It has no real theme,
Nor any particular meaning
That might hide subliminally,
Unless you really look,
Through your tenuous eyes.
To you: unnamed,
I wish I had the words
To express my feelings for you,
But you might not understand
Or take it the wrong way.
I fear
Your phone isn't on.
To you: the artist
Formally called Starlight
By another man
Who may once have been me.
So long ago
I fear I will forget
I think I've already forgotten
And allowed the gulf between us
To grow wider
Than when we hadn't met.
To you: untitled,
I write these lines for you,
I don't know why
Or how it helps,
But it's all I can think of.

FD, this is a very moving, sentimental, and real piece. As I read over the words I felt a solidity to them...the way your wrote so simplisitically gave this poem that reality. I know how you are feeling and I wish that I could get it down with the ease you did here. Take care. =D

This poem made me think. It stayed with me even after I stopped reading it. Great job here. Loved it.

Another great one! I love these lines:

"It has no real theme,
Nor any particular meaning
That might hide subliminally,
Unless you really look,
Through your tenuous eyes."

Look forward to reading more of you!
