The soldiers of the past,
Have come once again.
Their eternal rest disturbed,
They watch over and guide,
Our soldiers true.
They remember the things,
They believed in,
The things they fought for.
The things they died for.
They fought hard battles,
And merciless wars,
For peace and freedom.
Those things threatened once again.
They have risen,
Once more to walk beside our soldiers,
To guide them true.
The knowledge they get,
To press forward,
To retreat,
Come from the soldiers past.
They silently and unseen uplift,
Our battle weary soldiers.
Silently whispering in the wind,
Reminding them,
When they are too tired to go on,
What they are fighting for.
The soldiers of the past,
Walk again.

I like the topic, like the theme, maybe just work some of it a little differently. Well done overall. I like it.
