Perhaps it is only because the hour is late, and I am doped up with Advil to help stem the tide of winter cold that flows through me, but I find my thoughts wandering down corridors best left un-wandered down. One of these is that most un-cool topic to actually write about: War. Specifically, the most recent of wars. You know the one I mean. The Terrorist Business.

I'm reminded of several books, the most prominent of which is 1984.

For those that haven't read it: 1984 is a book about a possible future in which the Truth has been all but assassinated. In this novel, there exist two supercontinents: Eurasia, encompassing all of the Europe-Asia area, and Oceana, which encompasses everything else.

These two supercontinents are constantly at war...only they're not. But everyone in both supercontinents, everyone not in power, THINKS they are, therefore they are. But no bombs are dropped, no war is actually waged. It's simply a tactic, to keep the public stupid and complacent. We must have your money to continue fighting the evil overseas.

Sound familiar, anyone?

Someday they'll burn me down...

Agreement
I must say that your opinion is very similar to the one i had at the beggining of this whole WTC thing. I recieved a lot of shit from a lot of people from expressing this opinion, so i find it very comforting to find that someone can relate. Either that, or i'd appreciate if you get doped up on Advil more often.
